"I want to express my sincere thanks to Christina for her extreme patience in helping YF learn the tools. She was very professional in the sessions and has also helped me along whenever I had questions and/or unsure about what I needed to do. Christina has given me the assurance that she understands my challenges and pain.”

I heard about the Davis program through a radio interview. Like any child, my son struggles with distractions. He would be fiddling with his stationery, looking at his peers and listening to other conversations instead of completing his task. He had problem with his spelling, often missing letters or words, which affects his school results. This had inevitably made him lose interest in the subjects. As an educator, I had the benefit of pointing out his mistakes and weaknesses quickly. His mistakes were easily classified as 'careless'. But as his mother, I knew he was struggling.
I placed him in the Davis programme, hoping it could shed some light. 1 to 2 months after the programme, my son could recall and picture phrases real quick. "Mummy, I don't know why but I could memorize real quick!", these were his exact words. He could even stay focus and complete his task even though his peers were busy chatting away. Without saying, his attitude towards learning has drastically changed. Instead of running away from his tasks, he stayed focus and completed them. Davis programme has empowered him to take ownership of his own learning. As a mother, I felt that I had given him one of the greatest life skills.”

“My daughter has been writing mirror images for some of the letters. She also could not read at the appropriate age level. It was also a struggle for her to complete her written work. She is often easily distracted and staying focus is a challenge for her. This greatly affected her confidence in school and she is starting to dislike going to school.
I am glad to have read up on the Davis programme and to have met Ms Christina Tan. After our first meeting, I decided that my daughter could benefit from the programme. We completed the 2-weeks programme in April 2019. Now, she can learn her spelling faster and there is very little or no more mirror images. Her reading ability has improved. Although she still often gets distracted, she is able to focus when she is called upon to do so. I am very thankful for the work that Ms Christina Tan has done.”

"K said on our way home that he had a good time learning with you and the 6 hours spent daily felt like only an hour. I think he is reading more carefully now and by mastering the trigger words he will be able to read more fluently. I think my job is to be patient and keep him motivated throughout his journey. Thank you so much for being such a wonderful teacher!"

"Sometime last year, after sharing my hard time with a mummy friend of mine, she recommended Christina to me to seek professional advice. My boy was then in P3 and I was very troubled seeing that he has difficulty staying focus during learning. After spending some time with Christina, learning techniques which my boy is still using, he has more confidence in his learning and is able to stay focus. He was delighted when he received his first Edusave Award. He is now in P4 and we saw improvement in his recent assessment result for English and Math. "
